Dr. Gunther von Hagens’ Body Worlds may not be for the squemish, but if you are interested in a mixture of science, anatomy and art then this exhibition is definitely worth a visit.
Cat managed to get her paws on two VIP preview tickets for last night, so we both headed over to the 02 Arena after work.
Dr. Gunther uses a technique called plastination to preserve real bodies or body parts; then they are exhibited in various poses to enhance the explanations of the functions of the bodies or body parts.
There was a fair amount to take in; having a fuzzy head after a full day’s work I’m sure I bypassed a lot of interesting information. The exhibit is open until August 2009 and I’m sure I will be visiting again.
